Drilling Project Details
This project involved the drilling and installation of 36 anchors to stabilise an existing retaining wall and basement of a residential home after Cyclone Gita.
The anchors were drilled and installed 9m into Separation Point Granite, walers installed over the anchors to complete. Challenges included working
inside the building, and drilling/casing through loose drainage material behind the basement, this was overcome by vacuum advancing UPVC casing through the
concrete wall and seating into the granite behind. This ensured that the drainage materiel is left insitu and remains fully functional.
Drilling Equipment Used
Hydro 200 Drill Rig.
Project successfully completed within budget and the expected timeframe.
