Plant and Machinery
CW Drill currently runs 7 top head drive drill rigs of various sizes and capability.

Schramm T64

The rig is mounted on a 1986 Volvo N12 truck and is most suited for Down-hole Hammer, Reverse Circulation, Casing Advancement systems and large diameter Auguring. It is a top head drive with a 7.0m stroke.


Hitachi Ex 60 MultiDrill

CW Drill has modified a 6 tonne Hitachi excavator by fitting a top head drill mast to the end of the boom.  This versatile rig can drill at any angle within a 5m radius of the operator.  This rig is suitable for most drilling systems including Diamond Coring, Down-hole Hammer and Casing Advancement.


Envirotrack 4000

This rig is mounted on an Isuzu Elf Rubber Tracked Crawler, which was purpose-built by CW Drill to be highly mobile and efficient to run, even on sites that are difficult to access. The Envirotrack 4000 is heli-portable in 2 shifts - trailer or truck mounted. It is a top drive rig with a 3.0m stroke.  It is suitable for Wireline drilling, Diamond Coring, Down-hole Hammer and Casing Advancement drilling.


Hydrill 200

This is fully portable rig that is used primarily for rock and soil anchoring work.  It has a 1.5m stroke and mainly used with a down-hole hammer system.  The drilling capacity is 125mm diameter to a depth of about 25m.  It can drill both vertically and horizontally.  It measures 1.5m x 0.8m wide x 0.8m high, and weighs approximately 200kg.


Gefco CF 1500

The rig is mounted on a 1990 NL12 Volvo.  Drilling methods that are suitable include Wireline Diamond Core (NQ, HQ, PQ), Rotary Mud, Rotary Air-blast, Down-hole Hammer and Casing Advancement systems.  It is a top head drive with a 7.5m stroke and weighs approximately 17 tonne.    


Warman Hydrill 1000 

This rig is skid mounted, self loading and is easily secured to any flat deck truck for transport or truck mounted drilling.  This is a Deep-hole Diamond Coring rig.


CWD CS1000

This versatile rig is mounted on a Marooka MST800 rubber tracked carrier.  Drilling methods that are suitable include Wireline Eiamond Core (NQ, HQ, PQ), Rotary Mud, and casing advancement systems.

Monitoring

Geotech's AB Wireless CPT System

CW Drill uses Geotech's AB wireless CPT, or Cone Penetration Test to accurately test soil conditions. With this modern microprocessor and digital technology CW Drill can offer measurement precision in a fraction of the time of the old testing systems.

Supporting Equipment
